🤔 Then… why do Business Owners (specifically the online ones) – Yes, I am thinking of #coaches#affiliatemarketers#solopreneurs and #topmanagers ✒️design or accept these impossible schedules 📝 in which they (quite literally) hardly have (or give) themselves time to breathe? 💥 BOOM!!

SELF-EMPOWERMENT Day 2

Going in deeper. In our last article, I shared my definition of self-esteem; to accept and love yourself inconditionally, you will need to know yourself. So in today’s article I am sharing a compilation of exercises that have worked for knowing and accepting my self better.
The first exercise is all about boosting your self-confidence. For this exercise you will ask five people that are either very close to you or you think that they know you very well, to wrtie down your five top qualities. When you have gathered all the information, read it with care, pay attention if there are any coincidences between them. Write down for yourself the ones that flatter you most, and the ones that you have heard more often.
If you’re anything like me you’re either super self-demanding or overly-critical of yourself, so there is no judge harsher than yourself. On a separate sheet of paper write down (in penicl) your three top flaws, the ones you consider your very worst traits. Now breathe deep, get a theasarus or use Google to find their antonyms.Now write down a sentence stating the ways in which you have used or acted using the positive side of your biggest flaw. For example, I know I am (or can be) very stubborn, the positive side is persistance. A sentence using persistance that I have done in my life, Is “Persist until success is iminent.”

“I believe in harmony, the way some people believe in fairy tales… All you have to do is LISTEN.”

The title of this article is based upon this quote:

“I believe in music, the way some people believe in fairy tales… All you have to do is LISTEN.” – August Rush.

I have a wide number of favorite movies, but perhaps among the most influential  in my life was this, August Rush. Long story short, I am VERY sensitive to music and harmony.

So, let’s play with that quote for a bit and change music for harmony or balance. For your life, for your relationships, in your body and even for your business.. Allow for me to elaborate a bit.

“A system operates to serve or heal its weakest link.” So  to prevent that, organize and prioritize so you cater to your largest drivers and/or most necessary relationships first. Yes, even relationships within your body.

So going a little deeper and focusing solely on one’s self. Do you hear chatter all day long about things that are beyond your control to fix? Well, silence those and focus on what you CAN fix! Listen to your body after you eat something – do you feel bloated? Lacking energy? So, perhaps that specific food (or amount) does not suit you. How do you feel after you exercise? More energized or totally depleted?

Can you see where I am headed? One of the keys to leading a balanced life and achieving all of your dreams or the dreams in the key areas of your life, is Listening to your own body.

Leading a harmonious life from within will naturally reflect on healthier and more nurturing relationships with yourself by being able to transcend negative patterns, thoughts and emotions; and consequently with others.

Leading a more harmonious life while listening to your body will translate in feeling more energized, becoming more efficient and having more time to do what counts!

Leading a more harmonious life while listening to Spirit, God, or your inner self will naturally have you at peace, more focused, more able to deal with problems and stressful situations more wisely…

However, that kind of listening goes above and beyond active listening (which involves all your senses). I will call this kind of listening, observant listening which allows for you to recognize patterns, “side effects” (like for example when you get bloated or not), and find leverage on those things or activities that will nurture you to grow.

#FancyFridays Creative Techniques to help You SoaR!

Hiii!

Catchy title, huh? Well, in this total make-over month, I wanted to re-vamp my practice, to better serve and help you. Part of this business re-vamp has been focused on defining new and unique ways to help you SOAR! This IS personal growth redefined.

The focus of our creative technique of this first #FancyFriday is self-care as an every day tool to boost self-empowerment and self-love. You might say… oh, I have that covered! Do you? Perhaps you run all day long, and even your exercise and self-care routine are embedded into your schedule and you do them every day. Like shave on the run, apply make-up on the run and storm out of your house…

Well, I’ve got news for you, that doesn’t sound much as a self-care technique. Think of self-care as a day at a spa… YES at a SPA. Are you running while you’re there? What is the sound in your surroundings, the smells, the textures and even the liquids you’re drinking? Our invitation for you today is to practice a Spa-like environment via mindfulness every day for at least 20 minutes.  I know, I know you’re thinking 20 minutes?! Installing that kind of environment ALONE will take me 20 minutes or more! And that’s the trick, mindfulness can get you in that spa mood in seconds.

What you will need, is some meditation music and/or silence, your favorite scented oil, if you prefer or are a beginner in meditation or mindfulness, a candle and 2 – 5 minutes. Mindfulness is about appreciating the here and now with no other focus. The tools described in the previous lines are meant to help you. Once you’re an expert, you can have your instant spa without those… Have your favorite scented oil handy, place a few drops on your hands and rub them. Now open your hands in front of  your nose and inhale deeply 3 times… If you have any thoughts say hi thought, and let them go. Turn on the meditation music, and light the candle… look at the flame of the candle as you focus on your breathing.  You can do this for 2 minutes 10 times per day, 5 minutes four times per day, or 10 minutes twice per day… Whichever you pick, it’s the trick to practice winding down into being in the here and now, often, enjoying life.

Our Story – This IS Weight Loss for Personal Growth!

Allow me to tell you about our program.

This story started about a year ago. I was stalled in losing weight. I was exercising 2 hours per day, every day and I was gaining weight:– and NOT from muscle! So, I got on a Detox diet from a book. It worked, but the problem was it kept me dehydrated. Around that time, my (then) friend David and I started dating and shortly afterwards, he shared his diet (prescribed by his MD) which was already based on a Ketogenic frame with mostly Alkaline foods. The book I had read was on Ayurveda and David already knew some about spices, so we literally spiced up the program his MD had given him. My (then) boyfriend asked me to help him design weekly menus, which I soon turned into a program to help heal the love of my life and (now) husband from Lyme Disease (at least his symptoms). Since we had a family project in our minds, I started up on the same program.

Not only did we lose weight from fat, but he also improved massively on his symptoms to the point of not getting ill in winter. And me? Well, I said good-bye to all of MY symptoms that included heart -burn, indigestion, IBS and nasal allergies. You get the picture. We have been perfecting this program to make it a balanced diet (and not a bacon diet like most Ketogenic ones), and to detox, fast, cleanse and even avoid constipation.

Day 4! Emotional Healing on the Go!

Hello everyone!

I hope you’re finding our challenge useful for your growth. Why tie emotion to diet? Well, we are setting foth a lifestyle and emotional healing is key for sustainable weight-loss plan.

The principles are:

  1. Whatever is weighing you down is weighing you in and keeping you packing up pounds.
  2. A balanced life needs a healed heart and a positive mind.
  3. Negative emotions will reduce serotonin production and raise cortisol, therefore keeping you hungry and binging.

Dealing with toxic emotions is healing way beyond your diet because it will help you let go of patterns and behaviors that could eventually make you stressed, depressed and eventually ill. One of the first keys when dealing with toxic emotions is: OWNING THEM.

Yes, Owning Them, the emotion is actually how You feel towards any given person of situation. As a Gestalt Psychoterapist, I believe in contact – the +1 party that emerges when two or more people interact. So it is true too that some people will bring out either the best or worst in you. The secret to this is… how long does that emotion last? Does it linger enough to turn into an ache, allergy or conditon?

I cannot continue much longer on this or I’ll write a whole book on it here, Now. The whole idea is to be aware that your emotions are yours. NO person, thing or event makes you feel. You feel.

Just take note, for now. Feed the positives and for all that’s good in you do not feed your fears or your stress.
