Low Carb IS NOT Zero Carbs!

Hello!

Everytime I’ve shared this protocol, I hear people telling me, but you need carbs! The secret is in this program that is our life-style WE DO eat carbsIt’s just not all carbs are created equal.

We eat carbs from fruit, we will even have the high-sugar banana, but we will eat half a banana per day.

We promote staying away from WHITE anything but coconut – if it’s white, it’s processed, Prefer whole wheat pasta, and bread; brown rice. Keep those to no more than one portion per day.

We also love the fiber in oatmeal, the protein in quinoa and the follates and vitamin Bs in beans; we will keep the quinoa and beans on a maximum of a weekly basis and the oatmeal at one portion per day.

Our trial is against simple carbs, and processed foods.

Day 6! A Toned Bod! A Soaring Soul!

Heeeyy!!!

Good evening and great Saturday to yoo all!

Well, today I want to share some huge break-through I have experienced. I have hit a plateau orrr my ideal weight! But! I just gave away my previous skinny jeans and moving towards a skinnier goal!

This feels great! And on the soaring side, and why we promote and encourage an integral plan is… when you stop or cut-down on processed and pre-packaged foods, simple carbs and white pastas your pineal gland gets decalciified. So it’s time to unveil your real YOU! Oh and with a trimmer body, a faster metabolism and a quicker yet quieter brain. Life canot get any better!

Your soul-print and your purpose. What this has meant to me is… more focus, inspiration and a burning desire to help others heal!

Day 4! Emotional Healing on the Go!

Hello everyone!

I hope you’re finding our challenge useful for your growth. Why tie emotion to diet? Well, we are setting foth a lifestyle and emotional healing is key for sustainable weight-loss plan.

The principles are:

  1. Whatever is weighing you down is weighing you in and keeping you packing up pounds.
  2. A balanced life needs a healed heart and a positive mind.
  3. Negative emotions will reduce serotonin production and raise cortisol, therefore keeping you hungry and binging.

Dealing with toxic emotions is healing way beyond your diet because it will help you let go of patterns and behaviors that could eventually make you stressed, depressed and eventually ill. One of the first keys when dealing with toxic emotions is: OWNING THEM.

Yes, Owning Them, the emotion is actually how You feel towards any given person of situation. As a Gestalt Psychoterapist, I believe in contact – the +1 party that emerges when two or more people interact. So it is true too that some people will bring out either the best or worst in you. The secret to this is… how long does that emotion last? Does it linger enough to turn into an ache, allergy or conditon?

I cannot continue much longer on this or I’ll write a whole book on it here, Now. The whole idea is to be aware that your emotions are yours. NO person, thing or event makes you feel. You feel.

Just take note, for now. Feed the positives and for all that’s good in you do not feed your fears or your stress.

Lent Day 40! A Balanced Body, A Balanced Life!!!

Hello!!!

Today marks the end of Lent. But not the end of our Free Plan! Today is Day Thtree! Our Program starts with diet, because as I said yesterday, a balanced body allows for you to thrive!

So does a Balanced Schedule.

To achieve your goals, and be fulfilled you need to SCHEDULE a balance in your life.

Yes, you read it right… scheduling is KEY. And if you block your schedules,, it’s even better! Here’s a tip for your priorities.. you go first – schedule time to eat well and exercise or move, to take care of your relationships and  then at work… tackle the most important first, then you prevent it from becoming urgent.

So that’s it!  Have a meeting with your schedule.

Lent Day 39 – A Body that Heals, A Body that Feels!

Hiii!

Today is Day 2 of our 7 Day Free Trial A Life in Balance. A few words on our story. As you might know, if you’ve been reading this blog or following our pages, I designed this diet, for my husband who is a Lyme disease patient. His MD had prescribed a diet based on this principles, and my hubby was having a bit of a hard tme making odds and ends of the food lists. So, I jumped in and designed it for him.

The nutritional design was courtesy of his MD, the creative marriage of lists mine, the fitness part is my hubby’s design. I’ll tell you later about the design of the rest of the programs.

Why we insist on weight-loss and fitness first? Well, because diet has been the pattern breaker for me, and a healer for my love! Literally a pattern breaker above and beyond losing weight. Yes, some pounds started coming off the scale within 3 weeks, a very typical result on this kind of program. BUT the pattern broke! I slept better, felt more energized, finally said bye-bye to my allergies, IBS and GERD. So, the better I felt the more  I wanted to do and achieve.  Being symptom free, soon translated in feeling everything else in my body. My focus increased too. I was on a back treatment at that moment, so I could not exercise for a couple of months. Which is why fitness came second, for my specific case.

For that reason, on today’s challenge I want to share with you the power of eating clean and some routines around it…

Routine 1 – Have 1 glass of luke-warm water and the juice of 1 lime first thing in the morning or ! glass of baking soda water.

Eating clean means no processed or pre-packaged foods. It means ZERO (or close to) preservatives. No sugar and little salt. Which in turn, means better sleep patterns, more energy and no after-meal drowsiness. We will keep on insisting on that.

Routine 2Walk 10 – 20 minutes after every meal. Movement is key! It’s key to fitness, to energy flow and for any sustained change.

Routine 3 – Gratitude is the best attitude! Be thankful for everything you have, in every moment of every single day!

Lent Day 38! We ARE Launching!

Hello!

Today is Launch day! So, let me walk you through what to expect in these 7 days…

A series of articles related to our program, a couple of audios and an open door for you to ask questions.

On day 1, we usually fast on Sundays. As I had told you before, our fasting consists in drinking quality drinks such as broths, protein and veggie smoothies and de-tox water, which is mainly ginger, lime and stevia. I’ll share that recipe at the bottom.

So today, for our launch I will be sharing some of the benefits of our whole program.

  1. Weight-loss – just a fair warning, this is a life-style change with a sustainable weight-loss plan, so results typically show within 3 weeks or more.
  2. Heatlh – this program is known to help heal conditions and symptoms such as: head-ache, Lyme related symptoms, insulin levels are naturally regulated, and acid reflux (GERD) and (IBS) or irritable – bowel syndrome are too.
  3. A trimmer body – you will trim fat, and develop muscle.
  4. A quieter mind – by breathing, meditation and exercise plus the ketogenic protocol and spices your ability to focus will increase and your mind will be calmer, living more in the now.
  5. A balnaced body, a balanced mind and in the end A Balanced Life! As some of our tools include scheduling and work tips. It is your time to Soar!

We promote fasting and intermitent fasting, on day 1 and every weekend to boost your metabolism and make it rid of toxins. Fasting also raises your intuiton and communiacation with God, Spirit, Source or The Universe,

Here’s our recipe – 2 thin slices of ginger per 2 cups of water, the juice of 2 limes and stevia (depending on how sweet you like it 3 – 6 drops). Put the 2 cups of water to a boil, add the rest of the ingredients. Boil for 5 minutes and enjoy! You can have this drink warm or cold. It just tastes great.

Fair warning – ginger-lime water is a de-toxing water, which means it will dehyadrate you if you over-do it.

Drink plenty of water every day, an average adult should have 1/2 a gallon per day.

AKA News Bits… Keep Up and STEP UP!

Today I’m breakng the lent series for this article… I will re-post for Lent a bit later in the afternoon.

Today I’m posting because I read a rather alarming article the other day  – and I get his point. An MD was criticizing fad diets, this time he was focusing on Ketogenic ones.

I agree with him to some extent, as I have read tons of keto dieters turn a Ketogenic protocol into a MAINLY fat diet to the point of calling it the Bacon diet.

Our program, however focuses on BALANCE: A balanced diet, A balanced schedule and a Quiet Mind.

We are promoting a lifestyle with a balaned diet, a fitness program, healed emotions ond a quiet mind… Speaking specifically of the our diet program

We promote a balanced diet, low in carbsvery specifically in SIMPLE CARBS such as sugar, white rice, pasta and potatoes.

We promote a diet with a limited amount or zero pre-packaged and processed foods. We promote the consumption of whole, real foods. No added sugars, salts or preservatives.. 

We promote you eat fruit, vegetables and diary products and cold meats – other than diary, sausages, bacon and canned fish, keep your diet green.

We promote you add spices to your foods, to keep your tummy hot (a principle from Ayurveda) that helps you digest better and keeps your metabolism faster.

We promote that you drink plain water at least 1 gallon per day,, or ginger- lime water. And if you LOVE caffeine – drink 2 glasses of water per cup of joe. that will keep your kidneys clean!

We promote you use Stevia or Xylitol as a sweetener.

We want to help you thrive, heal and soar! Nothing less, nothing more!

Lent Day 34 – Time to prep for more!

Hiii!!!!

This is prep day 2!I promised to share some of the benefits of  our program.

  1. On your Body – The diet will help you eat better, free you body of toxins and lose weight. – I will get deeper into our benefits later.
    • Our fitness plan will help you tone, lose fat and above all move your energy.
  2. Mind – healing your emotions will allow for you to travel with less baggage and stop binging.
  3. Spiritually – you will have a closer connection with God, Source, Spirit, the Universe or the Divine as losing emotional and body weight helps you vibrate higher and live a deeper, fuller life.

Nooowww… Do you have your bags or boxes? Well take them out! Go to your cupboard and put inside the box or bag any and all processed and pre-packaged foods except for: canned tuna, salmon or fish; chocolate; sausages, cold-cuts and bacon.

No worries! You won’t throw them away! Now, classify them into whites, sugars, cereals, legumes and bread and pastas. We’ll work with your cupboard box soon!
